This is a print of "Ángele Dei," an original acrylic painting by Jared Weber / Entrusted Art.

The Latin inscription around the angel's "halo" is "Illumina, Customdi, Rege, Guberna." It comes from the Guardian Angel prayer and translates to the supplications of the guardian angel to "light, to guard, to rule, and guide."

I have presented this in a way that is similar to the badges of some police forces which include the star which is the symbol of their authority accompanied by the motto "To serve and protect," etc. In the case of the painting I created, however, in place of the star, I have placed the Sun (representing God) with its seven rays (representing the gifts of the Holy Ghost). Of course, this blue sky is also representative of the guardian angel's true Home within the Beatific Vision, which he "leaves" (in a sense) to come to the world of the human he protects, a world which is contrasted from the blue world of the angel as the comparatively dark world in which mankind is placed.

Finally, the angel is depicted as in the midst of dour combat, the enemy (one of the Fallen Angels who refused to serve) appearing only in the reflection of the guardian angel's sword.

PLEASE NOTE: Final print does NOT include the "EA, Entrusted Art, copyright Jared Weber ..." water mark.
